Since switching Phone Power hasnt been able to. I'm guessing that something must gotten stuck open originally which allowed incoming calls in indefinitely. The manufacturer and tech support of my PBX says the problem is with the SIP settings - a Phone Power issue. So odd that this did not have to be done the first time around with this issue. VOILA! Success! Everything seems to be working fine now. So, I changed nat=no to nat=yes, which resulted in this config -Īnd. That it was getting through the firewall. On an incoming call I started getting a busy signal, which proved to me Didn't fix it, BUT, now instead of dead silence I did some digging and found the qualify = xxx|no|yes option andĭecided to add that in. On the PBX, I had this configuration for my SIP trunk. On the current issue, is there any scenario in which you know of that would cause one VVX500 to boot via POE with no problems and another to not? Outside of the phone being bad of course.Since my call with Sophos indicated that the UTM was NOT the cause of the issue I turned my focus back to the PBX. Here is some info from one of the working phones from the saem lot: Just seems strange 2 phones all of a sudden fizzle-popped while all of the other phones and devices are fine. I logged into one of the working phones and could not find any option to disable the POE function. So the problem follows with these 2 phones - no POE. We checked the opposite where we also plugged in other working phones into those ethernet drops of which they do power up. Of the two phones not powering up, we placed them at other working ethernet locations (where other phones were plugged in and working) and they still do not power up. The client has approx 30 VVX500 units under 2 years old all powered via POE from a 48 port NetGear GS752TP.
