Also even if Amy was Sophia the whole time, leakers would've identified her on the spot and came out with the truth way beforehand, but they didn't. Hence, Amy might not be featured in Frontiers since there was absolutely no mention of her or any other in past prominent leaks prior to the TGAs. And since this is a fresh new start for Sonic, perhaps Sonic Team is cutting down on characters by focusing on one character instead of too many. One of the sentences says that Sonic has to save his "friends" and since this is debunked, Frontiers might be only focusing on only Sonic and Sophia since the previous game Forces had some backlash for too many characters doing nothing significant in-game.
